Scholarships help send local kids to college.

We now offer several scholarships available for area high school, college and community college students as well as employed educators.

Starting January 3, 2012, iQ Credit Union will be launching a new Facebook page. As a way of getting you to stop by and visit, member-submitted movie trailers will be posted on our Facebook page.

All movies must be submitted by Friday, February 20, 2012. After that, our Facebook fans will have their say, selecting their three favorite iQ films — with the winners moving to the iQ Credit Union web site and flat-screen monitors inside every iQ branch for glory, bragging rights and movie-themed prizes. At iQ Credit Union, we believe in helping our community - one child at a time. For the fifteenth year, iQ Credit Union has offered a reading program that gives books away to school children - free! This program is called Read with Me. Since its inception, the Read with Me Program has given away over 61,336 books!

Important Notice About U.S. Savings Bonds

Effective December 31, 2011, paper savings bonds will no longer be sold through financial institutions or mail order. Instead, individuals interested in savings bonds will have the opportunity to buy and manage them electronically through the TreasuryDirect® website: www.treasurydirect.gov. This switch to electronic-only savings bonds will reduce paper waste, eliminate the stress associated with misplacing or storing paper savings bonds and also allow for 24/7 access to one’s savings.

TreasuryDirect® provides a safe and secure environment for individuals to:
• Purchase, manage and redeem electronic savings bonds
• Convert paper savings bonds to electronic savings bonds
• Buy electronic savings bonds as gifts
• Buy additional Treasury securities,such as bills, notes, bonds, etc.

To sign up for a free TreasuryDirect® account, visit www.treasurydirect.gov. Please note that existing paper bonds are still valid and will continue to earn interest until redeemed or for 30 years from the issue date.
