You must "Opt In" for overdraft service on your debit card
As of, August 15, 2010*, you must request to have your everyday debit card purchases at grocery stores, gas stations, pharmacies and so on, as well as your ATM transactions, be covered automatically by Card Overdraft Protection services. That means if there is not enough money in your account or if the funds are not yet available, your card will be denied.
If you want to keep Card Overdraft Protection service on your account for your everyday debit card purchases and ATM transactions, you will need to specifically request it. Click here for more information.

*As of August 15, 2010, we will not authorize and pay overdrafts on ATM and everyday debit card transactions without account holder consent. An overdraft (OD) fee or insufficient funds (NSF) fee of up to $28.00 will be charged for covering overdrafts. Other types of Overdrafts may also be created by check, ACH, online banking transactions, phone transactions or other electronic means and do not require your opt-in consent.. Once an overdraft has occurred you are required to bring your account to a positive balance within 30 days. We reserve the right not to pay if your account is not in good standing. All conditions must be met prior to loan funding. 1) Automatic Loan Payment from iQ Credit Union Checking Account: The loan payment for the vehicle loan must be enrolled for an automated loan payment from your iQ Credit Union Checking Account. 2) eDelivery: You must be enrolled in eDelivery to receive periodic statements and notices regarding your Account. 3) Direct Deposit: Your wages must be directly deposited from your employer or retirement pay to your iQ Credit Union Checking Account. Automated Clearing House (ACH) transfers from other financial institutions do not qualify. 4) Active iQ Credit Union VISA Credit Account: In order to qualify, you must have had purchase or balance transfer transactions on your iQ Credit Union VISA Credit Account in the last 31 days. No refinances of existing iQ Credit Union loans allowed. Discounts are calculated at time of loan funding. Services added at a later date will not result in additional discounts. The maximum possible interest rate discount is 1.00% APR.

Summer driving tips
“To purchase or not to purchase the Rental Car company coverage” — that is the question. We know the fees seem unreasonable, but we recommend you purchase the coverage especially for short trips. Your auto policy does extend to a rental car, but there are some fees that are not covered. If there is an accident the rental agreement may obligate you to pay for their lost revenue for the time the car is in the repair shop, compensation for lost value of car due to accident, administrative fees, etc..
Moving.
Check with your auto carrier. Depending on the size of the vehicle, your auto policy may or may not extend coverage.
Visitors borrowing your vehicle.
Friends and family in town for a visit and want to borrow your car. They are covered under your policy. Just remember, when you “loan” your car you “loan” your insurance. Your insurance is primary on your vehicle. Their insurance may be secondary in some cases.
Purchasing a Vehicle.
We have received a number of inquiries regarding “salvage title vehicles” which means the car has been in an accident considered “totaled” by the insurance company. This means it would have cost more to repair the car than replace it with the same year, make and model. Someone has purchased the vehicle, repaired
it and wants to sell it. Some insurance companies will not insure these vehicles, some companies will insure them for liability and personal injury only and some will insure with comprehensive and collision, but may discount the amount they will pay for repairs due to the salvage title. Be sure to contact your insurance company before purchasing.
