VISA Card Usage Policy
As a result of a recent settlement there are changes in the way Merchants accept VISA check cards that goes into effect January 1, 2004. There are now two categories of VISA cards: VISA credit cards and Visa Check Cards. Merchants will no longer be required to accept both types of products. Some Merchants may honor only VISA credit cards. Others may accept only Visa Check Cards. However, most Merchants are expected to continue to accept all VISA-branded products. Questions? Going on vacation? Headed out of town? Call the Member Service Center at 360- 695-3441 and let us know. To guard against your account being accessed by someone who’s not you, VISA automatically red-flags card use that’s out of the ordinary — like purchases suddenly being made across the country or in a foreign country. If you tell us you’ll be traveling, we’ll make sure your card isn’t blocked when you need to use it.
